Hoewel het er daar wat rustiger en gemoedelijker aan toeging. Zo zond Decibel openlijk uit vanuit een pand aan de Da Costakade met op het dak een flinke rood-wit geverfde zendmast met daarin de letters DB in neon&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Ambtenaren van de RCD konden steevast rekenen op een vers kopje koffie, als hun komst vooraf werd aangekondigd werd er zelfs een gebakje bij geserveerd (hoorde ik van Jeroen van Inkel). Ondanks het verschil in format en manier van opereren werden Unique en Decibel in de pers vaak in&nbsp;\u00e9\u00e9n adem genoemd:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"plaatjes\/un-db1.jpg\" alt=\"Radio Unique FM 98.1\" width=\"200\" height=\"270\" border=\"0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"plaatjes\/un-db2.jpg\" alt=\"Radio Unique FM 98.1\" width=\"200\" height=\"270\" border=\"0\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">(Ingezonden door Pascal Verlinden)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Het geluid van Decibel<\/h3>\n<p>Hoewel de gezongen jingles wat minder waren, de &#8220;top-of-the-hour&#8221; van Decibel was fenomenaal. Zeker in die tijd, zonder computers met handige audiosoftware, een berewerk om te maken.
